Hence, organizations everywhere use merchandising as an effective tool to attract the consumer. Efficient display of the product, complimented with effective use of banners, stickers, danglers, glow signs etc at the point of sale, aims to capture the consumer’s attention.
This module looks at the concept of merchandising. Starting from what merchandising is, the module introduces the purpose of merchandising through AIDA.
Each organization has its own set of rules and norms regarding how and where should merchandising take place. This module finally introduces some of the merchandising norms of the FMCG to the participants.
